Notts Pride Reveals New Acoustic Stage For 2025 And Announces Headline Acts

Organisers of Notts Pride 2025 have revealed initial plans for this year’s extravaganza on Saturday 26 July 2025, along with the introduction of a brand-new stage, and an eclectic line-up that reflects the city’s creativity, as well as the event’s community spirit.
New for this year, revellers can enjoy acoustic melodies at a stage hosted by The Grove in Sneinton, a new venue which opened its doors last summer. This exciting partnership adds a relaxed, welcoming space to the Pride experience, reflecting the event’s growth and ongoing celebration of diverse talent and community connection. The site will also feature an additional fully licensed bar – one of two at this year’s event – along with a brand-new selection of food vendors.
After debuting a change in location last year, the Notts Pride main stage will be making its return to Sneinton Market to allow for the larger crowd, while acknowledging and reclaiming the area’s history within the community. From anthemic pop to heartfelt indie and genre-defying performances, the day promises a soundtrack as vibrant as the celebrations themselves.
Fresh off the back of their summer tour, Girlband! will be setting the tone for a day of joy, visibility and connection, with their unmistakable energy and hometown pride. Meanwhile, Rileasa, best known for reaching the final of Drag Race UK series six, will add her own flair with a performance rooted in Caribbean influence and fierce individuality. Jason Kwan, a rising name in the indie-pop scene, will also take to the stage with his cinematic sounds and emotionally rich songwriting that continues to earn widespread acclaim.
Leigh Ellis, chair of Nottinghamshire Pride, said: “It’s incredibly important for us to use the annual Notts Pride celebrations to spotlight amazing local talent, as well as some of the leading stars from across the wider LGBTQ+ community, and this lineup is the perfect example of that.
“It’s fantastic to welcome back Girlband!, after they blew us away in 2023. However, alongside this, it’s an absolute pleasure to also have lots of new artists performing at Notts Pride for the first time – each one has been selected for their ability to excite and inspire us. This year we’re excited to also be introducing a new acoustic stage, offering visitors another way to enjoy the day’s festivities. Whether you prefer high-energy foot stomping performances, or a more chilled reflective experience, it’s set to be a brilliant day centred around coming together in celebration and support.”
Several familiar faces from past Pride events will also be returning to the spotlight this year. These include Rob Green, known for his soulful voice and powerful live presence, who will be back to represent Nottingham’s alternative music scene. Tom Aspaul, whose upcoming album Cabin Fever has been eagerly awaited, will also be back to showcase his unapologetically queer take on modern pop.
Other highlights include Su, I Think, a Nottingham-born electro-pop artist and trans TikTok favourite, who will be returning with a set that promises both heart and heat. Alongside this, Laquarn Lewis, who stars as Lady Die in BBC’s ‘What It Feels Like for a Girl’ series – based on the memoirs of Hucknall-born Paris Lees – will be delivering a speech on the day.
With thousands expected to fill the streets in a joyous celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, this year’s main stage hosts are the beloved trio of drag royalty, Marilyn Sane, Liv and Nana Arthole.
Craig Martin, vice chair of Nottinghamshire Pride, added: “We’re always working to make Notts Pride an extra special event for all, and this year is no different. From bold live music and family fun, to moments of reflection and protest, there are so many ways to enjoy this year’s event. We can’t wait to welcome visitors during what is set to be another showstopper day.”
Notts Pride 2025 is made possible through the support of principal sponsor Sladen Estates, whose ongoing commitment helps bring the celebration to life each year. The 2025 headline sponsor is It’s in Nottingham, with Gold sponsors including Boots, E.ON and Roxy Leisure. Other sponsors include Lithia UK, The Nottingham Building Society, Chord Consult, Nottingham City Council, Cartwright, Tank, East Midlands Airport, MTVH, and Buzz Bingo.
Now in its 28th year, Notts Pride remains completely free to attend, and is organised entirely by volunteers, supported by the generous backing of local businesses and sponsors from across the city.
