As the official Place Marketing Organisation and not-for-profit business, Marketing Nottingham have committed funding from Nottingham City Council. Additionally, funding support is provided by the strategic partners. Marketing Nottingham also works very closely with local private sector businesses through the Nottingham Partners and Visit Nottinghamshire membership schemes.

Part-time Business Visits & Events Assistant (applications closed)
- Title: Business Visits & Events Assistant
- Reporting to: Business Visits and Events Manager
- Salary: £23,000 per annum (Pro-rata)
- Part-time 16 hours per week. Fixed-term until March 2025.

We are looking for a part-time BV&E Assistant who is a great team player with excellent communication skills and a proven ability in a customer service environment to become part of our team.
The successful candidate will have a flexible ‘can do’ attitude and be able to work to tight deadlines. As BV&E Assistant, you’ll support the BV&E Manager in promoting Nottingham as a destination for business meetings, events and conferences.
The ideal candidate should have a marketing background with a strong understanding of various social media and marketing platforms as well as having knowledge of graphic design software.

We are looking for an energetic, self-starter who loves getting the job done. You can respond and adapt to what each day brings and enjoy multi-tasking. Supporting our CEO and Management Team, your duties will span from office management, board preparation and attendance, project management, HR, Health and Safety and GDPR compliance. You will be the heart of a very busy team and keep everything running smoothly. You will work closely with the Finance Officer, supporting them with purchase ledger reconciliation, the purchasing of office equipment, stationery and supplies and will be working together on first level HR duties. You will also be expected to carry out level 2 HR duties including recruitment and induction.
You are the kind of person who can be trusted with highly confidential information and will often be the interface between the Board and Operations. You welcome new challenges and are a great team player. You are also able to work alone, often using your own initiative in a pro-active manner. You will have excellent attention to detail and great time management skills. You will have worked in an Executive/Personal Assistant role before and have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
