Celebrate Mother’s Day with Pop-Up Shops, Sheep, Live Folk Music and an Exhibition

Belvoir Retail Village invites families to come together and celebrate a memorable Mother’s Day. On Sunday 15 March, the Retail Village will come alive with a day of live music, small business pop-ups, delicious food, historical exhibitions and visits from the resident farmyard animals.

Although Belvoir Castle, Gardens, Grounds and Adventure Playground are currently closed for the winter season, visitors can still enjoy the free activities over Mother’s Day. The Castle will reopen its doors, along with the gardens, grounds and Adventure Playground on the 16 March.

Open seven days a week, Belvoir Retail Village is a thriving shopping and dining hub, sitting at the foot of Belvoir Castle. The retail destination offers artisan shopping in the heart of the stunning Vale of Belvoir and celebrates local food and the best of country living. Restored from working estate buildings, it is home to the latest fashions and accessories from homewares, crafts and toys as well as a range of delicious produce from the Belvoir Estate available in the Farm Shop.

The Mother’s Day event in the Retail Village is free to attend, with ample parking close to the festivities. Visitors will also be able to enjoy food tastings and browse the pop-up market to find the perfect Mother’s Day gift. Throughout the event, acoustic duo Two of Diamonds will be playing feel-good music live.

A host of Family-friendly activities will be available, including face painting and balloon artists. Families will also have the chance to meet the friendly sheep, who live in the Animal Park but will be making special appearances throughout the day. Visitors are encouraged to check Belvoir Castle’s website and social media channels for a full schedule of activities.

A new luxury dog specialist shop where dog owners will be able to pick up everything, they need to pamper their four-legged friends will also be opening this spring.
