  • Plus one return service on Mondays during the same period.
  • Pick-up points: Worksop Train Station → Worksop Bus Station → Clumber Park

From Saturday 22nd November, a special festive bus service will run from Worksop into Clumber Park, making it easier than ever for families, visitors without cars, and anyone seeking an accessible day out to enjoy the park’s The Elf on the Shelf ® sculpture trail.

Following a successful summer bus trial, Clumber Park is extending the service throughout Christmas to help more people experience the magic of the park during one of its busiest and most enchanting seasons.

This year marks the first-ever The Elf on the Shelf sculpture trail, in collaboration with Wild in Art and The Lumistella Company. For the very first time, the much-loved family Christmas tradition has been transformed into a spectacular outdoor experience.

Twelve giant Elf sculptures will be hiding throughout the park, ready to spark wonder, joy and festive family moments. With each Elf waiting to be found, the trail invites visitors of all ages to spend time in nature and enjoy a heart-warming seasonal adventure.

Accessible travel for an accessible festive day out
Clumber Park is working in partnership with Stagecoach East Midlands and Nottinghamshire County Council to bring a bus service designed to support visitors who don’t drive or prefer to travel car-free. It provides an easy, affordable, and environmentally friendly way to reach the park and enjoy the festivities.

Clumber’s General Manager, Rob Holder explains, “With crisp winter walks, lakeside views, warming treats from the café and, of course, the magical Elf trail to complete, visitors will have plenty to enjoy when they arrive. We’re thrilled to offer this special festive bus service so more people, especially families and those without a car, can join in the fun and make lasting Christmas memories. Visitors are encouraged to wrap up warm, bring their festive spirit, and hop on board for a magical day out.”

Matt Cranwell, Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, continues: “Catching the bus is a hugely enjoyable way to get to see all the great sights of our region, and so our team are excited to be offering the opportunity for local people to come and enjoy the wonder of Clumber Park in a magical new way. It is a real pleasure for our Drivers to play an important role in bringing joy during the festive period.”

Councillor Bert Bingham, Cabinet Member for Transport and the Environment for Nottinghamshire County Council, adds, “We are pleased to be working with National Trust and Stagecoach to bring back the successful Clumber Park shuttle bus for the festive period. With the shuttle bus now serving both Worksop Railway Station and Worksop Bus Station this is great news for residents and visitors who will have the opportunity to explore one of our beautiful and historical locations over the next six weeks. We hope the scheme will bring a festive boost to our local economy.  If you are in or around the Worksop area over Christmas and New Year, I encourage you to make use of this service”.
