Marketing Nottingham CEO Comments on Shared Prosperity Funding Announcements

Interim Chief Executive of Marketing Nottingham, Robert Dixon has commented on Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s successful bids to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund:

We’re delighted to see Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) Investment plan approved by the Government which will make a positive difference to our communities and the future of the city, districts and boroughs over the coming years.

Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are an ambitious region with a bold vision for the future. Whether it’s our vibrant visitor economy offer, exciting new developments and investment opportunities or thriving events and conferences sector, the region is very much on the up. This investment into our communities and public sector organisations will support further growth and development.

We’re pleased to see this financial boost into the local economy of our districts and the city. Nottingham City has secured 10.4m, Gedling have received £2.9m, Newark and Sherwood £3.28m, Ashfield £3.19m, Broxtowe £2.58m, Bassetlaw £3.39m, Mansfield £3.95m and Rushcliffe £2.57m, totalling £32.26m of investment to support local residents, businesses, and communities.
