This has led him into his role as Nottingham College Sustainable Lead, which he began in Jan 23. In three years, the college has transformed it’s approach to sustainability and the culture change that was needed. Matt has focussed on creating a Wilding Campus Project, to increase Bio diversity and engagement from the students, been involved in creating training days for all 1800 members of staff and created and chair a college wide Green Group. The many different changes have led the college to win a Green Gown award for Sustainability Institution of the Year in 2025 and also be in the running for the upcoming AOC Beacon Award for Sustainability in Education.
