New features have been announced for Light Post Farm – the magical after-dark experience at the award winning farm attraction taking place between 22 November to 23 December 2025 – as it gets ready to open.
For 2025, the trail has been completely redesigned, weaving in brand-new features around Nottinghamshire’s White Post Farm with more than 250,000 twinkling lights illuminating its scenic paths, animal enclosures and gardens.
This year also sees the introduction of a SEND family evening and a dog-friendly evening for the very first time.
New features for 2025 include a 7-metre-high Disco Tree lighting up the Tea Room Gardens — the perfect centrepiece for festive selfies — and a 200-metre Christmas light maze, where guests can wander through a sea of shimmering colours. The trail also features two brand-new light tunnels and a giant glowing moon casting its reflection across the pond.
Visitors can relax inside a huge seated bauble, perfect for Christmas photos, while every turn of the trail promises a new moment of magic. In the barn, families can dance to a life-sized Christmas Boom Box, filling the night with disco hits and festive cheer.
Adding a creative twist, art students from Nottingham College have designed a stunning sustainability installation — a captivating display of turtles brought to life through light, movement, and sound, celebrating both art and environmental awareness.
The attraction’s newly launched Farmville, an indoor play area designed especially for under 5s, will also be open to all guests and included with every ticket.
Visitors will have the chance to meet friendly animals such as rare-breed lambs expected in late November, miniature donkeys, and reindeer. The much-loved farm residents will be joined by friendly alpacas, wallabies, Old English goats, Oxford Sandy and Black pigs, Greyface Dartmoor sheep and many more.
The route also takes festivity-excited visitors to explore the indoor Jungle Play Barn, and discover fascinating creatures in the Reptiles of the World exhibit, home to West African Dwarf Crocodiles.
Visitors can get hands-on with festive fun across the farm — decorating their own gingerbread, creating magical reindeer food to sprinkle on Christmas Eve, and enjoying a host of seasonal surprises along the way. To elevate the experience, families can toast marshmallows, warm up with hot chocolate, and tuck into festive treats in the Tea Rooms, making Light Post Farm the perfect Christmas day out for all ages.
This year’s trail also includes dedicated themed evenings to make the experience accessible and enjoyable for everyone. A dog-friendly night on Thursday, December 4, invites visitors to bring along their four-legged friends to join in the fun.
A SEND-friendly evening, on November 27, will offer a calmer, more sensory-friendly atmosphere, with reduced noise, lighting adjustments and smaller crowd numbers to ensure all guests can experience the magic in comfort.
Light Post Farm will run on selected dates from Saturday, November 22, through to Tuesday, December 23, 2025 with timed slots running from 5pm.
Tickets start at £13 with family tickets for 2 adults and 2 children priced from £45, under 2s enter for free. Booking fees apply.
The trail is accessible to wheelchair users and suitable for pushchairs with free parking on site, at an easy to reach location within 30 minutes by car from Nottingham, Mansfield, Newark and Worksop.
