Nottingham Chamber Music Festival returns July 10th – 13th

Nottingham’s classical music festival returns to the city centre this July. If you’re new to classical music and not sure what to expect, the Nottingham Chamber Music Festival is a great place to start.

This year, the Festival includes concerts in a Grade II-listed Victorian Tunnel, a concert with wine & canapes at Delilah Fine Foods, and performances in Nottingham Contemporary, St Peter’s Church, and St Mary’s in the Lace Market. There are free and ticketed concerts for everyone to enjoy.

The 2025 Nottingham Chamber Music Festival’s theme is “Beyond Borders” featuring a global journey through classical music. NCMF gets a Eurovision touch, with two new classical works written by composer SuRie – who sang the UK’s entry for 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. Other Festival artists include pianist Rebeca Omordia, who brings her African Concert Series from Wigmore Hall; Tala Tarang, a duo of Indian tabla and classical harp who will perform at Nottingham Contemporary; and the Le Page Ensemble playing a quartet concert in the Victorian-era Park Tunnel with music by J.S. Bach and Kraftwerk. St Mary’s in the Lace Market also hosts performances including Schubert’s joyful “Trout” Piano Quintet, and an all-ages Family Concert with musicians of Sinfonia Viva.
