Nottinghamshire Vineyard Opens Shop Promoting Artisan Makers

Wolds Wine Estate in Stanton-on-the-Wolds, Keyworth has opened its doors to their new vineyard shop. The shop is another diversification of the family business to complement the already popular South Nottinghamshire vineyard destination famed for its natural wines, craft ciders, tours, tastings and glamping pods.

There is a range of produce available all from small artisan makers from across the region. The owners have made a commitment to only deal directly with small local suppliers for the produce with the aim of offering something unique. Of course, Wolds Wine Estate’s own wines and ciders will also be available which are all made in the onsite winery to which there is a viewing window in the shop.

Wolds Wine Estate owner and founder Rob Kalisiak says:
“The shop was a logical next step for us as we look to promote our natural wines and craft ciders. We have partnered with other local producers who are as passionate as we are about creating artisan and craft produce. We hope that by working directly with makers we can offer some really fabulous products to our customers and also help support small and family producers in the area.”

“We had a wonderful first day of opening,” continues Mark Green, the General Manager for the hospitality areas of the Estate. “Lots of locals who have been following our story came over as soon as we opened to see what we have done and pick up some wine and goodies. We didn’t expect such an early turn out and had to restock the shelves three times before lunch. We really appreciate the interest and engagement from the local community.”

The shop has a range of produce including artisan gin, craft beers, pickles, rum cake and even cocktails in a bauble! The range of produce can be browsed whilst admiring the views over the vineyard and orchard. You may even be lucky enough to spot the resident barn owl flying over the fields. But there are still big plans ahead.

“We have ambitions to develop the vineyard into a destination venue so more people can enjoy our wonderful part of the English countryside,” adds Rob Kalisiak. “We are working away to open our cafe restaurant prior to Easter 2026. We believe we have such a lovely and beautiful spot where people can enjoy food and drink whilst looking out over the vineyard views. We also hope we can engage with customers more to share our passion for viticulture and natural wine making.”
