5th–13th July 2025 Various Locations Across Sneinton Main Festival Day: Saturday 12th July at Trickett’s Park, NG2 4DD
Sneinton Festival returns for nine days of exciting, free events hosted by different local organisations and a dragon themed Parade and Festival celebration on Saturday 12th July.
The festival kicks off on Saturday 5th July with community crafts at the library, Robin Hood Youth Orchestra at Greens Windmill and a dragon-themed cake competition at St Christopher’s Church. Over the week, Sneinton opens its doors to a carnival day, guided walks, retro gaming, choirs, and local history storytelling — celebrating the area’s rich culture and past.
The Main Festival day on the 12th roars into action with a Parade, setting off from Green’s Mill Car Park at 10am led by a flock of dragons made by the Sneinton community. Expect walkabout performers, puppet creatures, and colour! Trickett’s Park and the nearby community garden, Lindum Grove, will then become a hive of activity from 12–5pm, featuring dances, live music, drumming circles, storytelling tents, Viking warriors, and a “Playground Takeover” to keep kids active. Headline music performances from Nicole Bull, Mum & Bass and Jonk promise an exciting time for all ages.
There will be food from around the world with everything from Ethiopian, loaded fries, burgers, cakes and coffees. There will even be a “pay what you feel” food stall so everyone can enjoy an affordable day out.
The celebration continues after-hours at The Lord Nelson Pub, and concludes on Sunday 13th July with a community picnic at Green’s Windmill.
