Over the years Nottingham CAMRA have been able to obtain some truly rare and difficult to find cask beers and this year is no exception. Following a visit to Barney’s brewery in Edinburgh an agreement was reached that they would supply over 30 casks of beers brewed in Edinburgh.
Barney’s will provide some of their beers but also featuring will be beer from Eskbank; Pilot; Tempest; Newbarns; Bellfield; Otherworld; Moonwake and Stewarts, many of which are micro-breweries which sell their beers in their own tap room.
Andrew Ludlow, who ordered the Scottish beers, through Barney’s said:
“Amongst some of the rarer beers are Eskbanks Cerveza Dhu a 4.2 ABV Mexican Dark Lager; Tempest’s The Quickening A Light Hazy Pale Ale and Otherworld’s River Horse a 4.8% new IPA.
Beer & Ciders are brought to the festival from far and near and with the amazing range of street food and entertainment it is the event not to miss.”
The annual Festival is now only a few days away and will again be held at the iconic Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. Wednesday afternoon and evening is normally reserved for the Trade and CAMRA members but with the dementia choir performing on that day a limited number of tickets are available for the public. The main public sessions being Thursday 8th October to Saturday 10th October (12.00 noon to 10.30pm).
