Reflecting upon the outstanding results of the weekend, Head Coach Warren Bennett, who is also the ICO England Coach, said:
“I’m unbelievably proud of every single fighter this weekend. The results are incredible, but it’s the attitude, teamwork and focus that really sets them apart. The mindset across the team was phenomenal, and it’s safe to say that everyone exceeded their personal expectations with their strongest performances to date. They’re the future of this sport.”
The achievements of BKS Martial Arts & Fitness highlight the strength of grassroots sport in Nottinghamshire. The club is quickly gaining national recognition for developing elite-level talent, with athletes of all ages regularly selected for international squads and winning medals on major stages.
Coach Bennett also expressed thanks to the parents and supporters of the fighters for their encouragement and energy, not just for their own but for the whole team. He also reached out to the organisers and thanked everyone who helped to bring the Championship together to make it such a success.
As the team now looks ahead to more national events, and the ICO World Championships in October, BKS continues to grow its reputation as a powerhouse in the UK martial arts scene.
