Visit Nottinghamshire is delighted to announce that Nottingham Beach – City by the Sea will return for summer 2025, following the huge success of previous years. Taking over Old Market Square from Wednesday 16 July to Sunday 31 August 2025, the beloved city-centre beach will once again bring all the fun of the seaside to the heart of Nottingham.
This free-to-enter, family-friendly experience has become a highlight of the city’s summer calendar, attracting thousands of visitors and creating unforgettable memories for locals and tourists alike.
Visitors can look forward to a golden sandy beach and paddling area, providing a perfect space to sunbathe, build sandcastles, or cool off on warm summer days. There will be a wide variety of funfair rides and games, ranging from traditional children’s attractions to adrenaline-pumping favourites like the Starflyer. A tempting selection of beachside food and drink will also be on offer, including fish and chips, ice creams, and fruity cocktails, creating the ultimate seaside vibe in the middle of the city.
The beach will also host a packed schedule of entertainment every day of the week. Monday Movie Nights return with free family-friendly films shown outdoors in a relaxed deckchair setting, while Tuesdays will be filled with the sounds and energy of Salsa with Todo Latino, offering live Latin music and expert-led dance sessions. Wednesdays will see weekly beach volleyball tournaments, open to all skill levels, creating a fun and competitive atmosphere. Throughout the week, the beach stage will come alive with live DJs, musicians, and street performers, ensuring there’s always something happening for visitors of all ages.
