Emily Wingrove is the Head of Sustainability (Midlands) at Waterman Group, bringing over ten years of experience in the built environment industry. She began her career as a structural engineer before moving into Sustainability to pursue her passion for net-zero construction. Her technical foundation in structural engineering included designing in concrete, steelwork and composite structures, across both new-build and refurbishment, which enables her to develop practical, holistic sustainability strategies from early planning through to project delivery.

Based in the Nottingham office, Emily leads regional delivery of sustainability strategy, whole-life carbon and circularity assessments, energy and carbon analysis, and climate-aligned design. She works closely with multi-disciplinary teams to support clients through planning, design and construction, tailoring solutions to suit project aspirations across all RIBA stages. Her portfolio includes projects from across the UK and Ireland, covering sectors such as retail, residential, commercial, hotels and life sciences.
