Nottingham City Transport Marks One Month at its New Travel Centre

It has been one month since Nottingham City Transport (NCT) opened its new Travel Centre on Lister Gate, marking an important milestone in its continued investment in customer service and commitment to maintaining a central physical presence.

Since opening on 16th February 2026, the new Travel Centre at 28-30 Lister Gate, Nottingham, NG1 7DD has welcomed over 10,000 customers – offering services including travel card sales, card top-ups, journey planning, and lost property collection.

Situated just a short distance from the previous location and opposite the forthcoming NHS Diagnostics Centre, the Travel Centre sits in a growing, busy part of the city. The modern, accessible premises provide a better working environment for staff and an enhanced experience for customers, reflecting NCT’s dedication to excellent face-to-face service.

Feedback from customers over the first month has been overwhelmingly positive:

  • “Looks superb and much better. Much cleaner, more visually appealing, and better for staff to operate.”
  • “Well done for relocating and breathing life into this part of the city.”
  • “Fantastic location. Once the surrounding developments open, the overall benefits will be much worth the move!”

Anthony Carver-Smith, NCT’s Head of Marketing and Projects said,

“Our new Travel Centre has welcomed over 10,000 customers in its first month, offering a brighter and more appealing environment for customers to interact with NCT, as well as vastly improved conditions for our customer services team”.

The relocation demonstrates NCT’s commitment to maintaining an active city centre presence, even when many transport operators choose to close travel centres. By investing in a modern, accessible facility, the company continues to provide valued in-person support for customers while complementing growing digital services.
