Eastwood Hall in Nottinghamshire, part of The Venues Collection, has completed a refurbishment of its restaurant, creating a more modern, relaxed and flexible dining environment for conference delegates, business travellers, groups and leisure guests.
The project continues the investment made across the venue since its major refurbishment in 2022 and brings the restaurant in line with the contemporary look and feel of its lounge, bar and bedrooms.
New banquette seating, discreet partitions and movable furniture create a choice of open and semi-private dining areas. This gives the Eastwood Hall team greater flexibility to adapt the restaurant for different audiences and styles of service, from buffet breakfasts and conference lunches to relaxed evening buffets and à la carte dining.
The restaurant’s buffet service area has also been enhanced, while new mood lighting can be adjusted throughout the day to create a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere in the evening.
The new interior continues the venue’s tradition of celebrating its Nottinghamshire surroundings. Artwork and decorative details reference the area’s trees and woodland, deer, swans, lace-making heritage and historic links with Raleigh bicycles. Similar local touches feature throughout Eastwood Hall’s bedrooms and lounge, helping to create a consistent sense of place across the venue.
Joanne Barratt, managing director of The Venues Collection, said:
“We continually listen to our guests and use their feedback to guide the improvements we make across our venues. The restaurant refurbishment completes the contemporary look and feel introduced at Eastwood Hall in 2022, while creating a much more adaptable dining environment.
“The flexible layout allows the team to tailor the space and style of service to the needs of each group, whether they are joining us for a conference, a business event or a leisure stay. Combined with the new lighting, semi-private areas and enhanced buffet facilities, it creates a relaxed and welcoming setting in which guests can enjoy good food and spend time together.”
The restaurant forms part of a wider programme of improvements at Eastwood Hall. The venue has also completed a light refurbishment of its main Lawrence Suite, introducing new carpeting, refreshed décor and upgraded lighting. The changes have created a brighter, more contemporary environment within the venue’s largest conference and event space.
Work is also under way to create an additional refreshment and breakout area on the first floor above the lounge. Located close to eight conference rooms, the new facility will provide delegates with convenient access to coffee and snacks without having to return to the ground floor.
The development is another direct response to guest feedback and will support quicker refreshment service while providing an additional space for delegates to continue conversations and connect informally during meeting breaks.
Barratt added:
“The improvements to the Lawrence Suite and the creation of a dedicated first-floor refreshment area demonstrate our commitment to investing in the complete delegate journey. Productive meetings do not only happen inside the conference room; the conversations people have over coffee and during breaks can be equally valuable. We want every part of the Eastwood Hall experience to support those connections.”
