A sparkling New Year’s Eve in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

From classy soirées to good old-fashioned shindigs and delicious dining to themed evenings, there’s a whole host of amazing events in Notts to help you see in the new decade with a bang. Here’s our round-up of the very best of this year’s incredible New Year’s Eve line-up to give you some inspiration – so dust off your glad rags and make sure you make the most of it!

 

Fireworks

With Nottingham Castle being closed until 2021 for an exciting major redevelopment, a free street party, a spectacular fireworks and pyrotechnics display, and live music can be enjoyed in Nottingham’s Old Market Square this New Year’s Eve from 8pm – 1am! Fireworks are set to be let off from the Council House to start off the New Year with a bang, Nottingham DJ Jeremy Prince will be playing the very best music and food and drink will be available from the Winter Wonderland stalls.

 

Dining

Out for dinner? Across the region our restaurants and boutique hotels will be helping you celebrate in style with a night of delicious dinner, live music and dancing. At Hart’s Nottingham you can see in the New Year with a special fixed price 3-course meal and complimentary champagne, whilst at Tom Brown’s Brasserie you can expect live lounge music, champagne, canapes and a sumptuous 3 course meal. The Engine Yard at Belvoir Castle is also putting on a fabulous New Year’s Eve Party, which promises canapes and cocktails in the Balloon Bar followed by a 4-course meal in the Fuel Tank restaurant.

 

Dance the night away

If you’re hoping to dance away some of those additional Christmas calories, Nottinghamshire has you covered. Head to NYE: Bon Giovi Live at The Southbank Bar City for the party of all parties to keep you dancing all night long with Bon Giovi and support acts to keep you dancing all night long. For an extra special evening, you can even purchase booth packages to really celebrate the night in style.

 

Themed evenings

For an extra-special New Year’s Eve to remember, why not head to one of the fancy and fabulous themed evenings taking place at some of Nottinghamshire’s finest establishments? The National Justice Museum is hosting a thrilling Murder! At the Masquerade event where guests can take part in a murder mystery tour including two cocktails.

Head to the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre for their The Greatest Showman themed New Year’s Eve party, which includes a cocktail, 3-course gala dinner and a DJ and dance floor to help you party the night away. For a glamorous and glitzy evening, head to Sinfonia Viva New Year’s Eve Gala for the gala performance Dance to the Music of Time, which promises a night of classical and popular favourites, from the 4th movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 to Lerner and Lowe’s I Could Have Danced All Night. Alternatively, head to Thor’s Tipi in Trinity Square for a Viking-themed NYE evening – with fur throws, fairy lights and a roaring log fire, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a deliciously festive evening with friends.
