Families are being encouraged to hop on board a new daily bus service between Worksop and Clumber Park as it prepares to welcome its first passengers this weekend.
Launching on Saturday 25 July and running daily until Sunday 6 September, the service has been funded by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) and is operated by Stagecoach East Midlands in partnership with the National Trust.
The bus will run three return journeys every day, connecting Worksop Train Station, Worksop Bus Station, Manton Depots and Clumber Park, making it easier and more affordable for families and communities to enjoy one of Nottinghamshire’s best-loved outdoor destinations during the school holidays.
Return tickets cost just £3 per person, including admission into Clumber Park – children under-16 can travel for free throughout August. Travel and entry are free for National Trust members, children under five and anyone arriving into Worksop by train with a valid rail ticket, helping to open up the wider rail network and making it even easier to visit without travelling by car.
Visitors arriving by bus can enjoy Clumber Park’s popular Summer of Play which is included with admission. This year’s event features six interactive play zones – Active, Nature, Imagination, Loose Parts, Toddler and the brand-new Pokémon Zone, alongside free storytelling sessions, ukulele workshops and Pokemon TCG Battling sessions.
Families can also book a range of additional activities throughout the summer, including The Big Tree Climb, yoga and craft sessions, nature dyeing experiences and live outdoor pantomime performances from Talegate Theatre Productions.
The bus service builds on previous seasonal trials and forms part of a shared ambition to improve access to nature, heritage and green spaces by reducing transport barriers for local communities.

The service has been designed to connect with train services arriving into Worksop, particularly from Nottingham, supporting more sustainable travel while making Clumber Park more accessible to both local communities and visitors from further afield.
