Belvoir Launches New Boutique Holiday Stay on its Estate

Belvoir has launched a new boutique holiday stay accommodation for overnight stays on its rural estate in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir in Leicestershire.

Vale House is a newly refurbished boutique guest house located at the foot of Belvoir Castle at the vibrant Engine Yard artisan village with its independent shops, bar and restaurant.

Perfect for overnight stays, the bespoke rooms have all been beautifully designed and detailed by Her Grace, the Duchess of Rutland. Offering a simple room only option, guests are able to order continental breakfast box delivery, or sample the Fuel Tank Cafe menu located nearby.

The striking pink-hued facade of the Georgian building has been retained while the interior has been completely transformed. The rooms are named after the castle’s famous gardens from Blackberry Hill and the Hermit’s Garden to Frog Hollow and the Rose Garden. Double, triple and quadruple rooms offer plenty of choice for couples, families and friends.

With attention to detail, each room offers a tranquil place to stay featuring Coach House furniture, Mitre Luxury Linen and art and lighting from The Duchess Gallery, the retail outlet featuring established luxury brands and up and coming British designers at the Engine Yard.

Completing the new offer is the Duchess Parlour, a champagne and tea parlour located on the ground floor of Vale House, which also serves as a breakfast area for guests. With its jewel colours, butterfly wallpaper, mirrored bar, hand-painted pink teardrop chandeliers and bespoke ‘Her Grace’ china, this extravagantly decorated space has a touch of Bridgerton, plenty of Instagram opportunities and an outside seating terrace.

It will be open to all Engine Yard visitors from Thursday to Sunday each week offering a seasonal menu of summer salads, seafood platters, canapes and bubbles perfect for light lunches and afternoon tea.

The Duchess of Rutland said:

“With so much to enjoy on the estate and further afield in this beautiful rural setting, we wanted to create an overnight stay offer for our visitors who would like to stay a little longer. This has been a labour of love for me as my passion is interiors and design and I’m delighted with the results.”

Guests receive a 25% discount on Castle and Garden Entrance tickets. Rising like a fairytale palace over the plains of the Vale of Belvoir, the Castle is one of the finest regency homes in England, boasting a treasure trove of stunning binge-worthy interiors and is now open every day. The garden – restored to the original Capability Brown designs by the current Duchess – is at its peak in Spring when it is alive with narcissus, camellias, rhododendrons and magnolias.

Other places to stay on the estate include Glamping options from bell tents, a gypsy wagon and a shepherd’s hut to three self-catering properties including a luxurious lakeside lodge.

Rooms in Vale House are available to book for stays.
