BINKS YARD REVEALS EXCITING SUMMER OF SOUNDS CALENDAR OF EVENTS

NOTTINGHAM music lovers are in for a treat over the coming months, with bar, restaurant and outdoor entertainment venue Binks Yard set to host the ultimate ‘summer of sounds’ on its popular outdoor terrace.

Featuring an exciting line-up of carefully curated events to delight music enthusiasts of all genres, the Binks Yard terrace will come alive with a diverse range of festivals and live performances that guarantee an unforgettable experience for dance, RnB, soul, hip hop, groove and jazz lovers alike.

First up for Motown and Northern Soul lovers, Binks Yard will be hosting the exciting Binks Summer Soul Party on 15 July, an all-day event featuring disco, funk, soul and Motown from ten guest DJs. These include DJ Chuffin_Nora, Tommy K, DJ Danny James, and DJ Expression, along with many more. At just £5 a ticket, the event promises a fun-filled day packed with rhythm and blues from 12 noon to 10pm.

Meanwhile on Saturday 29 July, Binks Yard will welcome the Groovebox Pride Festival to its outdoor terrace for an all-day party in celebration of the city’s LGBTQ+ community. Kicking off at 2.00pm, a range of top acts including headliner, renowned DJ Todd Terry, and popular DJ collective Horse Meat Disco, will take to the iconic Binks stage to bring guests a Pride party to remember.

“We’re so excited to bring Nottingham music lovers a broad range of events that will satisfy fans of all genres at Binks Yard this summer. The summer months are when the outdoor Binks terrace will really come into its own with lots of space for people to dance and celebrate great music out in the sunshine.

“Whether you’re a lover of Motown and Northern Soul classics, raving to some of the world’s best dance music or want to celebrate the city’s fantastic LGBTQ+ community by joining our Pride festivities, we’ve got you covered at Binks this summer.”

Other events taking place at Binks Yard include a set by acclaimed DJ Jeremy Prince on 15 August, renowned for pioneering the Nottingham music scene as founder of the Goodtimes DJ crew, as well as an all-day dance festival on 19 August, in collaboration with Groovebox. Featuring infectious grooves, uplifting house and irresistible beats from 2.00-10.00pm, the Binks Yard terrace will play host to a range of top DJs, with state-of-the-art sound and production, and an after-party into the early hours.

Tickets cost £30, with headline acts including the likes of Hannah Wants, Matt Guy and Adrianna.

Topping off this summer of great music, on 10 September will be the rescheduled inaugural Nottingham Jazz Festival, an all-day music event celebrating the timeless genre, with performances from some of the world’s most renowned jazz acts.

They include Antonio Forcione, Snake Davis, The Edgar Macias Quartet, and DJ sets from Jazz 2 Go DJs and Urban Intro. Tickets cost £25 and include a Binks Yard welcome cocktail or mocktail.

The Binks smoker will also be put to work at all events this summer, serving up the best treats from the Binks outdoor smoker menu.

It’s set to be an action-packed few months, with lots to see and do, and something exciting on every weekend – the perfect way to celebrate the warmer months in style.”
