CELEBRATING EQUITY AND EQUALITY IN THE WORKPLACE AT THE NATIONAL ICE CENTRE AND MOTORPOINT ARENA NOTTINGHAM

On this International Women’s Day, we proudly celebrate our unwavering commitment to gender equity and equality in the workplace, where an impressive 57% of our workforce are female. This year’s theme of equity reminds us of the ongoing struggle for fairness in the workplace, especially in traditionally male-dominated fields such as live entertainment and sports.

To us, achieving equity means creating a level playing field where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed and advance. We recognise that historically, women have faced barriers in our industries, and we are proud to be actively eliminating those barriers. Half of our Senior Leadership Team are women, as are many of our departmental managers. Women excel in diverse roles throughout our company, and their contributions are highly valued.

We understand that equity and equality not only align with our core values, but they also enhance our workplace environment. By creating a diverse and inclusive workforce, we have built a strong team that brings a broad range of skills, perspectives, and experiences, resulting in better decision-making, increased innovation, better representation and ultimately a better experience for our employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Ruth Andrews, Head of Marketing and Communications commented:

“For us, International Women’s Day is a time to honour the amazing achievements of women in entertainment and sport who have broken barriers and inspired generations. As a business, we will continue to support, empower, and celebrate the women in our industry. It is also a time to recognise and say thank you to the amazing contributions and achievements of our female employees.”
