DATES CONFIRMED FOR BEER FESTIVAL’S RETURN

The Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival is to return to Trent Bridge for a third year.

Nottingham CAMRA’s flagship event will be staged at the home of Nottinghamshire CCC between Wednesday 11 and Saturday 14 October 2023.

Tickets will be placed on sale in the coming months, with those interested in attending invited to register for early ticketing access at trentbridge.co.uk/camra.

“Trent Bridge has proven the perfect venue for our event over the past two years, and each time we return we find new ways to make the most of having such a unique venue at our disposal,” said Nottingham CAMRA Chairman Steve Westby.

“Nottingham has more than earned its reputation as a centre of excellence for the beer industry – and our festival seems to bring the best out of our brewers.

“Plans are taking shape nicely for our return – we’re already assembling a star cast of drinks for this October’s event, and I’m sure there’ll be more than the odd surprise on offer too.”

Trent Bridge became the event’s venue as it returned from a Covid-induced hiatus in 2021, with in excess of 30,000 festival-goers having passed through the ground’s gates in the two editions to date.

The 2022 staging of the festival saw the event expand into additional concourse areas behind the venue’s historic Pavilion, while extra seating areas allowed attendees further opportunities to take in the splendour of the world’s third-oldest Test venue.

The festival is expected to play host to over 900 beers and ciders upon its return in 2023, with festivities complemented by live music and a host of street food stalls.

“It’s been a pleasure to work with Steve and the Nottingham CAMRA team over the past two years,”

said Nottinghamshire’s Commercial Director Michael Temple.

“Their passion and expertise when it comes to drinks and the brewing trade are second to none, and we’re delighted to be able to provide them with a suitably prestigious platform on which to stage their flagship event.

“While I certainly don’t want to wish the summer away, I can’t wait to join the masses with a glass in hand when October rolls around.”
