Families to Visit and Eat at Sundown Adventureland for less this Summer

This summer, families can benefit from even better value for money tickets to one of the UK’s favourite theme parks, Sundown Adventureland, thanks to the Government’s 15% VAT relief scheme.

Sundown Adventureland, in Retford Nottingham, is a popular theme park for the under 10s and was recently ranked the 6th best theme park in the UK by Trip Advisor.

From Saturday 27 June until Tuesday 1 September, guests will be able to make bigger savings on visits to Sundown Adventureland. Tickets purchased on the day will be set at the new 15% discount, but guests can still find even better offers online with prices dropping to £18.17 for guests over 90cm and a concessions rate of £16.87.

Guests who book online will be able to take advantage of greater discounts if they book their tickets in advance. Prior to the announcement of the VAT relief scheme, Sundown Adventureland had already offered a 20% discount for its guests, and the scheme now allows this to be increased to 30% for guests who book online.

Shaun Malvern, director of Sundown said:

“This is really welcome news for our industry. For many years the leisure and hospitality sector has been calling for the kind of VAT relief that families already benefit from in many other European countries. We hope a successful summer will help demonstrate to the Government just how positive this reduction can be. And we’re proud to say we haven’t stopped at 15%.”

As well as cheaper tickets, visitors can also enjoy a 15% discount on children’s food items.
This will include kids favourites like chicken nuggets and chips, among others. There are many places for families to refuel at Sundown Adventureland including Crash Landings, Rodeo Corral and The Pumpkin Patch Café.

Guests staying at the Wild Acre Village will also be able to save 15% across the children’s menu during breakfast and evening meal service.

Debora Griffin, director at Sundown Adventureland said “We are proud to be passing every penny of this saving directly on to our guests. There has been speculation about whether businesses would actually do this, but I can only speak for us. We think it’s the right thing to do, and it’s a reflection of how much we value every family that chooses to spend their day with us. We can’t wait to welcome you for what promises to be a brilliant summer.”
