Cookery demonstrations, live music, pop up markets, face painting and a mini steam train all feature in the free programme of summer entertainment on offer at Belvoir’s Engine Yard.
Set in the beautiful countryside of the Vale of Belvoir, the artisan shopping village – created from the restoration of old estate farm and industrial buildings – is the perfect place to spend a few hours this summer with its outdoor terraces, mini playground for little ones and woodfired pizzas made to order in the outdoor kitchen.
The estate will also be introducing free parking permanently for all Engine Yard visitors from Friday 5 August with a maximum stay of four hours. Combined with the free activities on offer, The Engine Yard has something to suit all budgets this summer.
The August Bank Holiday weekend (27-29 August) is perfect for a family outing with live music over lunchtime each day, free face painting, a mini steam train, an old fashioned sweet stall and cooking demonstrations from Jorge Artisan Deli.
The pop up market is on every weekend with local artists, boutiques, artisan food & drink producers, wellbeing brands and florists invited to taking up residence in the wooden chalets alongside the best of country living, artisan food and drink, fashion and gift shopping on offer.
Also popular on the menu is a regular Gin & Jazz Night in the Balloon Bar, an intimate evening of live jazz music with Miss Charlotte Porter in the Balloon Bar with its magical interior created by the Duchess of Rutland. Forthcoming dates include 13 August and 17 September.
