Lady Bay Arts Trail Unveiled for 2023

Lady Bay Arts Trail, a festival of arts in the public buildings, houses, studios, local businesses and gardens of Lady Bay, brings another packed event in 2023.  On the weekend of the 13th and 14th May 2023 from 11am to 5pm, more than 32 venues and over 60 artists will take part, and the trail will feature makers and creatives bringing a wide range of work to inspire visitors.

This year, the Arts Trail is showcasing Lady Bay artists and celebrating creative local communities as well as guest artists from around the region, ensuring there will be even more opportunities to discover new work.  Visiting artists responding to the theme of ‘Fallow’ will present a range of work considering pause, respite or stillness and bring a new perspective to this year’s group exhibition at All Hallows’ Church.

Paul Liptrot, coordinator of the event said

“we’re delighted to once again to give a warm welcome to visitors and neighbours alike, to experience some of the very best art in our area. It’s a chance to meet and talk to the artists too, and perhaps join in creating something yourself”.

Groups will be showing and demonstrating a variety of work at All Hallows Church and Halls, Lady Bay Primary School and the Scout Hall, where you can also join workshops and participatory events.  A diverse range of workshops are on offer, suitable for all ages and abilities, including art, mindful stitching, poetry and willow work.  A children’s trail also takes young visitors on an exploration around the event. There is an excellent music programme centred around local pubs and in homes, with performances throughout the weekend. You can also find food and refreshments at many locations on the trail.

More information can be found in the brochures available at key venues over the weekend and further details will be posted on the website.
