JOB TITLE:  Marketing and Communications Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: Delivers the visitor economy marketing and communications objectives of the business plan. Oversees promotion of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to business and leisure visitors using multi-channel marketing campaigns via both earned and paid-for channels. Strategises with the business development team to grow and retain the visitor economy membership base. Works with Business Visits and Events team to secure major events and conferences. Manages the marketing and communications team, interns and has a holistic overview of wider Marketing Nottingham marcomms activity. Supports the Communications and PR Specialist in maximising PR opportunities, securing maximum media coverage for Nottingham. Is a brand guardian of the Marketing Nottingham corporate brand and the place brand for Nottingham as well as delivery brands, including Visit Nottinghamshire, Meet in Nottingham and Nottingham Tourism Centre.

BIO: Kinga completed her BA and MA degrees in Applied Linguistics (international business communication and translation in English, Polish and Spanish) and received an Erasmus scholarship to study her final year of her master’s degree at Nottingham Trent University.

Before taking on the role of Marketing and Communications Manager at Visit Nottinghamshire she worked as A Digital Marketing Specialist at Tischner European University learning about the ins and outs of student attraction, Marketing Manager at Stationery Island where she worked in an e-commerce environment setting up a team to develop a new website for the company to sell their products online, and Experience Nottinghamshire (now Visit Nottinghamshire) where she’s been working in various roles within marketing and communications as well as conferencing and events mastering her non-for-profit marketing skills and working with local academics and senior business people to help attract professional association conferences and events to Nottingham. Now with her 12-year experience in marketing and communications and CIM qualifications, she manages a team of two as well as regular student interns.
