Nottinghamshire Recipients Named in King’s Birthday Honours List

Individuals from across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours 2026 for their outstanding contributions to education, healthcare, community service, business, the environment and charitable fundraising.

The honours celebrate the dedication, leadership and impact of people who have made a significant difference both locally and nationally. From pioneering academics and education leaders to volunteers, healthcare professionals and business figures, the recipients showcase the breadth of talent and commitment found across Nottinghamshire’s communities.

Officers of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)

  • Professor Iain Keith Moppett – Professor of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, University of Nottingham, and Chair, Centre for Research and Improvement, Royal College of Anaesthetists. Recognised for services to Perioperative Care.
  • Professor Veronica Moraa Pickering – Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire. Recognised for Voluntary Service.
  • Lisa Clare Pinney MBE – Lately Chief Executive of the Mining Remediation Authority. Recognised for services to the Environment.
  • Ashfaq Ahmed Rahman – Chief Executive Officer, Nova Education Trust, Nottingham. Recognised for services to Education.

Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)

  • Dr Mark Brian Dale – Principal and Chief Executive Officer, Portland College, Nottinghamshire. Recognised for services to Further Education.
  • Jane Dean – Volunteer Member of the Nottingham Special Events Committee, Cancer Research UK. Recognised for services to Charitable Fundraising.
  • Pino De Rosa – Managing Director, Bridgeway Consulting Ltd. Recognised for services to the Railway Industry.

Medallists of the Order of the British Empire (BEM)

  • Donna Rebecca Hilton – Youth Services Manager, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Recognised for services to Children and Young People.
  • Paul Horton – Trustee and Volunteer, Mansfield Fire Station and Museum. Recognised for services to the community in Mansfield and Nottinghamshire.
