Artist Gathering brings a full day of poetry, creativity and performance to New Art Exchange as part of Green Hustle Festival

GOBS Collective presents the GOBS Artist Gathering, a full-day creative programme of workshops and performance taking place at New Art Exchange, Nottingham, as part of the Green Hustle Festival, supported by Apples and Snakes, and Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature.

Running from 10am to 9pm, the gathering brings together poets, performers and facilitators for a day of creative exploration across writing, nature connection, music, performance and making. Designed to be welcoming and accessible, the event invites participants of all experience levels to take part, whether attending a single session or spending the full day immersed in creative practice.

The programme features a diverse range of workshops led by artists and facilitators including Bridie Squires, Camille McCawley, Sonia Burns, Leanne Moden, Gail Webb, Davina Songbird, Sarah Wheatley and Ben Macpherson. Sessions span yoga and creative intention setting, nature-based writing, gallery-inspired writing, clothes swap poetry, vocal and performance development, zine making using recycled materials, and a workshop focused on building full-length performance work.

The event concludes with an evening Performance Showcase, hosted by Armor Craw, featuring performances from Nottingham Nature Poet Laureate Cara Thompson, Bridie Squires, Davina Songbird and Leanne Moden, alongside open mic slots for participants to share work developed during the day.

Tickets can be booked by visiting gobscollective.org.
