This autumn, Nottinghamshire proudly takes centre stage as MGM+ brings the world’s most famous outlaw back to life with its brand-new TV series, The Robin Hood. The series is premiering on Sunday 2 November 2025 with a double-episode debut in both the UK and USA. Starring Sean Bean, the series is a bold new retelling of the legendary tale of courage, rebellion, and justice.
To celebrate the global launch, Visit Nottinghamshire is inviting fans, families, and adventurers from around the world to rediscover the places that inspired the legend -from the ancient oaks of Sherwood Forest to the historic walls of Nottingham Castle.
As part of the celebrations, Visit Nottinghamshire is launching an exciting new competition, #ROBINHOODLIVES, giving one lucky winner the chance to experience an unforgettable overnight stay for two in the legendary home of Robin Hood. The prize includes bespoke Robin Hood-themed experiences and the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the world’s most famous outlaw.
The competition opens 2 November 2025, coinciding with the series premiere on MGM+.
