Robin Hood’s Adventure Trail Returns For 2025

– Fun, free, and full of city centre excitement for families –

Nottingham’s favourite free family trail is back – and for Summer 2025, it’s bigger, bolder, and full of mystery! The Robin Hood’s Adventure Trail, delivered by Nottingham’s Business Improvement District – It’s in Nottingham, launches on Monday 4 August 2025, inviting families to solve a city-wide puzzle and uncover the hidden location of Robin Hood’s long-lost treasure.

This year, Robin Hood needs your help more than ever. The devious Sheriff of Nottingham has hidden his treasure – and only by finding 11 legendary characters scattered across the city centre can the code be cracked. Each character holds a letter… collect them all, unscramble the secret word, and reveal the Sheriff’s hiding place! Successful treasure hunters can claim an exclusive 2025 Robin Hood badge from Nottingham Castle.

Trail maps are completely free and available to collect from key city venues, including Nottingham Contemporary, Nottingham Central Library, and Nottingham Castle – or download your copy online at itsinnottingham.com/news/robin-hood-adventure-trail/.

Along the way, families will explore some of Nottingham’s most iconic locations, including Theatre Royal, Broadway Cinema, Nottingham Playhouse, and the National Justice Museum – with plenty of surprises, activities, and child-friendly offers across the city all summer long.

“We know that summer can be a challenging time financially for families, so we’re proud to deliver something that’s totally free, exciting, and right on your doorstep,” said Alex Flint, CEO of It’s in Nottingham. “This trail is a brilliant way for families to explore it together, discover hidden gems, and enjoy some well-deserved fun during the holidays.”

Whether you’re a local or visiting Nottingham for the first time, this is a chance to dive into the legend, unlock a mystery, and make unforgettable memories.
