The National Justice Museum
The Museum is rated 4.5 stars by visitors, who praise its interactivity and immersiveness. One describes how “the convict idea number draws you into feeling what it might have been like as an inmate”, whilst another said it was a great day out “even when I was accused of being a witch in [the] courtroom session!”
Southwell Minster
With an average rating of 4.5 stars, visitors are impressed by the jaw-dropping architecture of this ancient building which towers over Southwell. Reviewers describe it as “stunning”, “outstanding”, “awe-inspiring” and “remarkable”.
Redsmith Distillery
One visitor to Redsmith Distillery rated it 5 stars, describing how their friends from America were “completely captivated” by the experience, and was particularly appreciative of the “honesty and passion” of the team at Redsmith.
Bridleways Guest House
With an average of 5 stars in its reviews, this popular guest house in the heart of Robin Hood Country is famed for its hospitality. Many reviews mention owners Emyr and Tracey, who “could not be more friendly, considerate and hospitable, while nothing is too much trouble”. One reviewer describes them as “the icing on this fantastic cake, making your stay the best you could possibly hope for”.
Son of Steak
Unsurprisingly, most reviews focus on the steak, with one reviewer exclaiming “wow, what a find!” and another who comes to Nottingham “just for the experience of eating steak with you guys”.
Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre
Visitors describe the forest as “beautiful” and “lovely”, with some particularly enjoying seeing the horned cows. The value for money is also highlighted as a positive, with visitors paying just £4 to park for a great family day out.
New Hall Farm
Boasting an average of 5 stars in its reviews, this caravan park is described by one visitor as “an absolute gem of a site”, whilst many others mention the “stunning” views that “take your breath away”, highlighting the “peace and quiet” to be found here.
Stonebridge City Farm
Reviewers rate Stonebridge City Farm 4.5 stars on average, describing it as a great day out for all, not just families. As one visitor describes it, the farm is “Welcoming, educational and of course FUN. Don’t miss out, go today… Oh and if like me you don’t have kids – it’s lots of fun for adults too.”
City of Caves
Many visitors are delighted to discover this underground attraction, tucked away underneath the city’s streets. One refers to it as a “hidden secret”, another asks “Who’d have thought all that is just below the streets of Nottingham?” while a third says that “it was great travelling back in time and feeling like I was someone from the early ages”.
Robin Hood Town Tour
Rated the #1 tour in Nottingham, the Robin Hood Town Tour is beloved by visitors and locals alike. Reviewers praise the “remarkably passionate storyteller” and describe the tour as “fascinating and delivered with amazing energy”.
Newstead Abbey
With an impressive 4.5 stars average rating, visitors describe Lord Byron’s ancestral home as “majestic” and “awe-inspiring”, and enjoy strolling around the “beautiful” gardens. One reviewer describes the Abbey as a “credit to Nottinghamshire”, whilst another says it “has a magic all of its own”.
Wollaton Hall
Also boasting 4.5 stars, the beautiful Elizabethan mansion Wollaton Hall is one of the most popular destinations for visitors and residents alike. One reviewer calls it a “jewel in the East Midlands”, whilst another describes the grounds as “superbly kept” and the architecture as “awesome”.
Manor Farm
This family farm park receives high praise from reviewers and an average star rating of 4.5, with one describing it as “the best day out for the family” and highlighting the “amazing friendly staff”, and even saying that although it rained a lot during their visit, “we didn’t care because there are lots of hides/ shelters to hang out in and watch the animals!”
Green’s Windmill
Visitors love this hidden gem, standing atop a hill just outside the city centre, and give an average rating of 4.5 stars. One reviewer says “I loved climbing up through the working mill – how often do you get the opportunity to see a traditional mill grinding flour? Really impressive”, praising the “really interesting” science centre and the “excellent value for money” at this free attraction.
The Original Nottingham Ghost Walk
This tour is very popular with visitors looking to learn about the darker side of Nottingham’s history. Reviewers describe the guides as “amusing”, “informed” and “engaging”, and with an “unending supply of tales and stories”. Many visitors particularly enjoy ending the tour in Nottingham’s historic caves and indulging in a drink afterwards!
Restaurant Six
One of the latest additions to Nottingham’s fine dining scene, Restaurant Six at Trent Bridge is already proving a huge hit with visitors. One diner says they were “blown away by Six from the moment that we stepped out of the lift to see the views”, whilst another praises the “beautifully presented and delicious food”. Clearly well worth a visit!

This craft workshop, gift shop and tea room in the heart of the Lace Market gets a whopping 5 star average review and is a must visit for creative visitors. One reviewer describes the “quirky and boho chic” design and the “fabulous” drinks, whilst others mention the “lovely surroundings” and “eclectic and cool mix of artefacts, lace samples, paintings, lace design drawings”.
