The Grace O’Malley-Kumar Cup – Charity Hockey Tournament 2025

The Grace O’Malley-Kumar Cup is a heartfelt charity tournament honouring the life of an exceptional hockey player, daughter, and friend, Grace O’Malley-Kumar. This event not only celebrates Grace’s memory but also raises vital funds for the Grace O’Malley-Kumar Foundation, bringing people together through the sport she loved so dearly.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, 19th July 2025, at the Nottingham Hockey Centre, running from 10:00 am until 7:30 pm. The tournament will feature many of Grace’s close friends, including several England Internationals, showcasing top-tier hockey in a spirited and unified atmosphere. Alongside the hockey, the day will include a five-a-side football match run by the Nottingham Forest Trust, three separate hockey matches, an awards ceremony, and speeches. The event will conclude with live music, offering a moment of celebration, reflection, and community connection.

The short-term goals for this year’s tournament are to raise £30,000 for the Grace O’Malley-Kumar Foundation, to sell out the event once again, and to unite the Nottingham community, which was deeply affected by the tragic Nottingham attacks on June 13th, 2024. In support of these goals, the Foundation will host a raffle on the day and is actively accepting donations.

Every bit of support helps keep Grace’s spirit and legacy alive.

Looking ahead, the Foundation holds a bold and inspiring long-term vision: to create a ProAM Tournament where the best hockey players in the world compete annually for the Grace O’Malley-Kumar Cup. This future tournament would include a financial incentive for players and aims to grow into a major annual sporting event. The initiative has the full backing of Grace’s parents, and the Foundation is now seeking a long-term partner to help bring this ambitious vision to life.

If you would like to learn more about the Foundation’s future plans or explore partnership opportunities, please get in touch with:
