The National Ice Centre reopens for Under-18s ice sports activities and disability sport

Nottingham’s National Ice Centre has reopened for under-18s ice sports activities and disability sports, with all necessary measures in place to welcome skaters back safely.

It is offering a number of activities, including skating lessons, figure and ice dance lessons, ice hockey, synchronised skating and more. For more details on what’s available, as well as COVID guidance relevant for your visit, please click here.

Elite adult sport will continue as usual. This includes GB Short Track Speed Skating, Nottingham Lions, Vipers ice hockey, BIS National Squad Figure Skating and Ice Dancing.

It is hoped that adult skating activities will be allowed to return on 17 May, which includes fully reopening for public ice skating for all ages. The National Ice Centre are currently working on a new public skating timetable which will be shared soon. Lessons for adults in May are available to book online as of 12 April.

The National Ice Centre is COVID-Secure and has the ‘We’re Good To Go’ mark which highlights that it adheres to Government and public health guidance. Visitors can also view the COVID-19 Risk Assessment in the footer of the National Ice Centre website.
