Tickets Available for Sundown’s Iconic Christmas Spectacular

Theme Park Anticipates Its Best Christmas Yet

As families everywhere start to gear up for the festive season, there’s still time to grab tickets for Sundown Adventureland’s iconic Christmas Spectacular which sees the theme park transform into a beautiful and breathtaking winter wonderland.

The event features the popular ‘Night Before Christmas’ ride, which takes visitors on a mesmerising sleigh ride through the enchanted forest to Father Christmas’ Magical Grotto. There, guests will have the opportunity to share their Christmas wish-list with the main man himself and receive a beautifully wrapped gift to take home.

The family-owned park near Retford, which is designed especially for under 10’s, will also be decked with thousands of sparkling lights and Christmas decorations to enhance the festive atmosphere, with a great range of seasonal food and drinks also on offer.

Debs Griffin, director at Sundown Adventureland, said:

“This hugely popular event is always a firm favourite in the Christmas calendar and although as always, tickets have been selling fast, there are still some remaining.

“We’re anticipating our best Christmas ever, so would urge anyone who’s been thinking about coming to book their tickets as soon as possible so they don’t miss out on the opportunity to create some magical memories to treasure in years to come.”

Playing a starring role in the Christmas experience will be the Four Seasons Arena, which opened just last year, and which promises to deliver a feast for all the senses. Festively decorated and featuring live entertainment on selected dates, it’s a great place to enjoy some foodie treats including mince pies, non-alcoholic mulled wine and hot chocolate in a warm and cosy environment.

Once guests have had their fill of festivities, the young and young-at-heart can make the most of the park’s other rides, playparks and attractions including the Jolly Pirate Boat Ride, Monkey Mayhem Driving School, Crash Landings Lollipoppet Castle and Storybook Village.

Tickets for the Christmas Spectacular, which runs from 18 November until Christmas Eve, start from £19 for adults and from £23 for children, with discounts available for the over 65s, Blue Light Holders and disabled guests. Tickets include the visit to Father Christmas’ grotto and access to all the wider park.

Please refer to the website for dates for the live entertainment at the Four Seasons Arena.

For those who don’t want the festive fun to end, Sundown Adventureland’s overnight accommodation, Wild Acre Village, is open for short and long breaks and gives guests a way to extend their fun and embrace the magic a little longer. Every stay includes free Christmas tickets to see Father Christmas and park wristbands.

With flexible arrival options for the lodges available, including weekends and mid-week, the lodges feature king-size beds for the adults and bunk beds for the kids, with interconnecting doors available for larger groups. Many cabins are also equipped with luxurious private hot tubs, ideal for warming up after a chilly day.
