Tickets for First Lace Market Proms Selling Fast

Tickets are selling fast for the first Lace Market Proms, set to take place at Nottingham’s historic St Mary’s Church in November.

In a ‘first of its kind’ event, Nottingham’s professional community is coming together for an evening of music performed by professionals from across the region, networking and fundraising, all in aid of The Yalu Collective.

On Tuesday 17th November, more than 20 performers from a wide range of professional backgrounds will take to the stage, showcasing their musical talents through an eclectic programme spanning classical, contemporary pop and musical theatre, with solo performances, ensembles and a choir.

The organisers are excited to announce that the choir this year is Browne Jacobson’s choir, that get together annually to put on a Christmas carol service for the firm and friends, held at St Peter’s Church. This is their first ever performance at an external event, and their first foray into non-Christmas music (although some seasonal music may slip into the programme).

Tickets have been selling fast and while some remain, organisers are encouraging those interested to book their seat now so as not to miss out. Casual food and drinks will be available before and after the concert from 6pm.

The inaugural 2026 concert will support The Yalu Collective, a charity that creates educational opportunities for communities in Sri Lanka and other developing countries where access to facilities, resources and opportunities can be limited.

Ashley Walters, founder of the Lace Market Proms, said:

“The first ever Lace Market Proms is set to be really special for Nottingham and the initial response has been hugely encouraging. The event is raising vital funds for a worthwhile cause and to see so much support in our first year is incredibly rewarding, and we’re looking forward to an unforgettable evening at St Mary’s Church.”

In preparation for the concert, the Leicestershire and Rutland Society of Architects (LRSA) has also sponsored the event rehearsal, taking place in the lead up to the concert.

Joey Silva, Co-President of the Leicestershire and Rutland Society of Architects, is performing at the event and a Trustee of The Yalu Collective.

“The LRSA is delighted to support the Lace Market Proms and The Yalu Collective, a charity very close to my heart. Helping children access education and the opportunities it brings is a cause we are proud to champion. It’s wonderful to see the professional community come together for such a meaningful purpose,” Joey added.

The event is supported by headline sponsor 24/Three and Eden PR and will feature performers representing organisations across Nottingham’s professional services sector. Doors will open at 6pm, with the evening providing opportunities for attendees to connect and network at the concert.
