TV Stars set for Belvoir Castle’s Flower and Garden Show

Famous faces from the UK’s favourite gardening programmes including – BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Adam Frost and ITV’s Love Your Garden’s David Domoney – will be taking to the stage at Belvoir Castle Flower and Garden Show, taking place 11-12 July 2026.

Adam Frost and David Domoney will be returning to the show for the second year to share design insights, gardening tips and share stories from their careers, as well as signing bookings for fans. These sessions are part of a jam-packed programme of events, taking place across the two-day show.

Now in its ninth year, Belvoir Castle’s Flower and Garden show has become one of the region’s most anticipated shows, attracting thousands of visitors who share a passion for gardening, design, and the natural world. Celebrating the beauty and creativity of horticulture, this year’s show promises a vibrant showcase of displays, garden design inspiration, hands-on workshops, and sustainable gardening innovations.

Eleanor Melville, marketing manager at Belvoir Castle said:

“We’re delighted to welcome back Adam Frost and David Domoney to this year’s Flower and Garden Show. Whether you’re a passionate gardener or just looking for a summer outing with your family, there is something for everyone at Belvoir Castle’s Flower and Garden Show.”

Throughout the two-day event there will be a programme of unmissable events including live demonstrations, Q&A sessions with talented horticulturalists Chelsea Flower Show Medallist Paula Routledge and experienced garden designer and journalist Karen Gimson. In addition to the programme of events, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy stalls selling plants, horticultural accessories and local artisan crafts. Food stalls selling delicious locally sourced food and beverages will be available throughout the show.

A highlight of the Flower and Garden Show is the highly regarded border competition where garden designers across the country are invited to showcase their creative borders for a chance to win the coveted prize. Applicants are invited to showcase their best designs in either 1.2m x 4.8 m border or 2.4m x 2.4m border spaces, celebrating this year’s theme – ‘Pollinators’.

Andy Tudbury, head gardener at Belvoir Castle said:

“The Flower and Garden Show is one of the highlights in the Belvoir Castle events calendar celebrating the best in horticulture in the East Midlands and beyond. The border competition is a great opportunity for both seasoned horticulturalists and newcomers to turn their hand at creating something special. I look forward to seeing all the entries for this year’s theme – celebrating pollinators of all kinds.”

Open to anyone involved in garden design, horticulture and landscaping, the competition is supported by the London College of Garden Design and celebrates planting design and showcases new garden designers and horticulturists. In the past few years many designers have used this competition as a springboard to other competitions including winning best in category at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and BBC Gardeners World Live.

This year’s competition shines a light on one of the show’s key sponsors, CED Stone Group, who have generously offered bursaries for applicants. CED Stone will supply a limited range of products including granite setts, footpath gravels, the Eco gravel system, aggregates and gravels. Other materials may be available subject to approval and availability.

Design submissions should be no more than one A3 page and include: an outline drawing of the idea including an elevation of the planting design and a brief description of the narrative or story, as well as a mood board showing an idea of some of the plants to be used.

Email your submission either as a PDF digital copy to: Andy Tudbury on halcyondays.ge@gmail.com or post a hard copy to: Andy Tudbury, Head Gardener, The Estate office, Belvoir Castle, Woolsthorpe Road, Belvoir, Grantham, NG32 1PA.
