UKREiiF secures Invest in Nottingham as latest event partner

The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) has secured Invest in Nottingham as their latest partner – building on the regional presence already announced by the likes of Midlands Engine, Birmingham City Council and The City of Wolverhampton Council.

UKREiiF is set to bring together thousands of delegates comprising of investors, funders and developers who are all looking for new opportunities across the UK, and those in Nottingham will now be centre stage at the event.

Nottingham will showcase “the UK’s biggest city centre development opportunity” through a dedicated panel discussion, focused on the intense period of economic regeneration that is set to take place, with The Island Quarter and the transformational Broad Marsh development, leading the way. In addition, the city has secured a slot within the exclusive Investor Centre, a dedicated area for city leaders to highlight opportunities to domestic and international investors.

Lorraine Baggs, Head of Investment at Invest in Nottingham, said:

“Nottingham has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change the future blueprint for cities in the UK. The upcoming redevelopment of over 60 acres of city centre land will reimagine how people live, work and play in Nottingham, and pave the way for other cities around the UK. UKREiiF is a great opportunity for investors to be part of the exciting plans for Nottingham’s future.”

Richard Watson, in charge of the project delivery team at The Island Quarter, said:

“I’m delighted to represent The Island Quarter as part of ‘The Nottingham Opportunity’ panel at this year’s event.

“Our 36-acre, £1 billion-pound development, alongside the Broad Marsh, will bring tremendous opportunities to the city and surrounding areas while boosting the local economy at the same time.

“As the ‘Queen of the Midlands’, Nottingham has so much to offer. No other city has the same opportunity to forge its new destiny, with more than 60 acres of central Nottingham ready for development over the next decade, creating new excitement and energy thanks to designs that have been created with a post-pandemic, sustainable future in mind.

“I look forward to speaking about the exciting opportunities we have at The Island Quarter at this year’s event as we continue on our journey to create a new city within a city.”

Keith Griffiths, Director of UKREiiF, said:

“Nottingham is being revolutionised through the redevelopment of the built environment. The city’s leadership and investment arm are doing an exceptional job in bringing forward opportunities and creating a thriving city economy that businesses want to invest in – with examples such as the fintech and life science sectors choosing Nottingham as the place to grow.

“UKREiiF is committed to finding potential investors and developers to view exciting propositions and opportunities in every area of the UK, and those in Nottingham will be of high interest to our ever-growing list of attendees.”

Led by property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the first annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 17-19 May 2022. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
