Wolds Wine Estate, the premier Nottinghamshire destination for natural English wine and luxury vineyard glamping, is thrilled to announce the official opening of its highly anticipated 80 cover Vineyard Café from Friday 3rd April.
Nestled in the heart of the South Nottinghamshire countryside in Stanton-on-the-Wolds, Keyworth, the new café offers guests an unparalleled experience, pairing the estate’s rural surroundings with a menu rooted in simplicity and seasonality.
Honest Food with a View
The Vineyard Café has been designed to provide a tranquil escape for both locals and visitors. Guests can enjoy majestic views overlooking the vines and orchards. Whether seated inside the stylish new space or relaxing in front of the vineyard, the connection to the land is at the forefront of the experience.
The culinary philosophy is straightforward: local, honest, and seasonal. The café will serve:
- Coffee and Treats: Locally roasted coffee from Nottingham coffee masters Stewart’s Coffee Roasters along with tasty cakes and bakes.
- Artisan Dishes: Classic breakfasts and lunches in addition to Afternoon Tea, Cheese and Charcuterie boards and a Proper Sunday Roast.
- Vineyard Sips: A selection of the Estate’s own award winning wines and ciders along with beverages including wine, beer and spirits from other craft makers.
“Our goal has always been to share the beauty of Wolds Wine Estate with our community,” says Rob Kalisiak, co-founder and wine/cider maker of Wolds Wine Estate.
“The café is the next piece of this journey – a place where you can sit back with a glass of wine, a cup of coffee with cake or a fresh lunch and take in the stunning vineyard backdrop. As a natural wine maker we are committed to sustainability and that theme runs true through the café with our menu and drinks offering supporting local producers and those with a similar ethos.”
A Complete Rural Destination
The opening of the café marks a major milestone in the Estate’s growth, evolving from a dedicated vineyard and glamping site into a full-scale rural destination. Visitors can now combine a tour and tasting through the orchard and vineyard or a stay in one of the luxury glamping pods with a premium dining experience that celebrates the best of the East Midlands. The café also has a viewing window into the onsite winery allowing visitors to not only see where the grapes grow but also where and how the wine is made.
“Since 2020 when we planted the vineyard it has been a whirlwind experience for us,” says Louise Kalisiak, co-founder of Wolds Wine Estate.
“With the birth of our twins the same year the last 5 years have been non-stop as we developed the vineyard, set up the glamping, made our award winning wines and ciders and launched our tours and tasting experiences. Everyone has been sosupportive of what we have been doing and we hope the new café will provide another opportunity for people to come and enjoy our magical piece of the English countryside.”
Table bookings are now live on the Wolds Wine Estate website (woldswineestate.com), although pop-ins are welcome. The shop and vineyard café will be open from 9am Friday 3rd April and over the bank holiday weekend a special introductory breakfast and lunch menu will be available until the full menu goes live from Friday 10th April with the first Sunday roast service on the 12th April. The café is child and dog friendly and with it being on the public footpath and on main cycle routes into the Nottinghamshire Wolds and Vale of Belvoir it will make a great stop off for those enjoying the beauty of the local surroundings.
