Just as Club Wormhole’s monthly cabaret has established itself as the home of alternative comedy in Nottingham, Wormhole Weekend is now a staple of Nottingham Comedy Festival. And this year is no exception! This November, join the Wormhole Gang at Fisher Gate Point for another jam-packed esoteric adventure!
Wormhole Weekend is Friday 6th to Sunday 8th November 2026: a three-day melting pot of talent – local and national alike – showcasing innovative, avant garde, award-winning comedy from across the UK alternative scene. From sexy sleuths to silly songs, folklore to folk heroes, there are 15 incredible shows in store!
The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with a special edition of Club Wormhole’s classic cabaret (“a riot… silliness and satire by the sackful” – Left Lion), previewing the weird and wonderful weekend ahead. Stick around to see a new collaboration between alt comedy giants Consignia and The Mayor & His Daughter.
Across the weekend you’ll find the cream of the alternative crop: Malcolm Hardee award winner Michael Brunström brings his “Stunning” (Comedy to Watch) anti-AI folk tale William Tell versus the Algorithm to Saturday’s line-up, while Sunday plays host to Zoe Cousin – as seen on BBC Three – in Paul Sykes is Back on the Patch (“Raucous and genuinely hilarious” – EdFringeReview.com). And we wrap up the weekend with the inimitable Sean Morley, whose show Backchannel was the talk of the 2026 Fringe!
This year also sees many Wormhole Gang members take to the stage too! On Saturday: Jamie drew returns as Velma in The Queen in Orange; Katie brings her smash-hit WIP Giddy home to Nottingham; and Lee Kennedy’s Clown Church serves locals once more. On Sunday, Ben Macpherson Does Poems at Adults – make sure you’re one of them!
Plus many more unique shows from the most inventive minds in comedy! For the full line-up and tickets, visit https://linktr.ee/WormholeWeekend2026.
Making theatre and comedy accessible to all is a Club Wormhole priority. Every Wormhole Weekend show is ‘pay what you want’ on the night, though tickets can be bought in advance to guarantee entry. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
