Nottingham’s favourite theme park, Sundown Adventureland, is transforming into a Spookfest for its annual Halloween celebration.
Taking place from Saturday 14th October to Sunday 5th November, the popular event has a ghoulish new trail for this year. Mini ghost busters will whizz across the park in search of hidden skeletons in secret spots, enjoying the dozens of rides and attractions the nostalgic park has to offer as they explore.
Simply connect each skeleton to the location on the Puzzle Trail worksheet and identify the hidden word, to earn an edible Halloween surprise from the Pumpkin Patch Café.
Debs Griffin, director at Sundown Adventureland, said: “Being a family-friendly park and specifically for the under 10s, we always focus on keeping our trails spooky, fun-filled and entertaining. Halloween is a wonderful occasion which is getting more popular every year, so adding a fresh new trail this year will hopefully excite and delight families.
“The new trail takes visitors into all four corners of the park and the skeletons have been hidden in very sneaky and secret places, so little ones will need their best exploring shoes on, a keen eye and a dash of bravery to complete the trail and earn themselves a delicious prize at the end.”
The long-established park has a variety of attractions, parks and soft play areas that are all suitable for the under 10s, including all the firm favourites – Jolly Pirate Boat Ride, Giddy Piggies, Rocky Mountain Railroad and indoor play area and café Crash Landings. Families can treat themselves to a tasty bacon buttie, sandwiches and plenty of snacks to fuel them for all the fun.
At The Four Seasons Arena, guests can enjoy homemade packed lunches or have a sit down after a busy morning or afternoon exploring. They can also meet their favourite Sundown characters throughout the day.
The park’s overnight accommodation, Wild Acre Village, is open throughout the year and gives guests the opportunity to extend their fun, have a second go on the rides and make the most of their visit.
With Wild Acre Village proving extremely popular throughout the year, guests are encouraged to book early and make the most of the discounts, with booking options including two-night stays, long weekends and week-long holidays. Visitors also receive entry to the park for the entirety of their visit at no extra cost.
Tickets for Sundown’s Adventureland’s Spookfest are £22 for adults or children over 90cm. Children under 90cm enter for free. Discounts are available for disabled guests, carers, over 65s and Blue Light Card holders.
