Join Inspire Youth Arts for a night of live music from emerging local talent on the eNGine Room label at Metronome, Nottingham on Friday 15 August. Hosted by BBC Introducing’s Dean Jackson, the evening begins with a music industry panel at 7.15pm to offer insights and advice for inspiring artists. Live music begins at 7.45pm.
The showcase will feature standout acts developed through Inspire Youth Arts, with support from BBC Introducing. The eNGine Room label is a not-for-profit label that supports young artists across Nottinghamshire with tailored support to help develop and launch their music careers. BBC Introducing East Midlands, led by Dean Jackson, plays a vital role in supporting and championing young artists by featuring their music on the radio and helping to raise their profiles across the region.
Audiences can expect special performances from Eiina, Don’t Worry, I Have A Plan, and Get The Army, with support from DRING and Jude Kirk.
Eiina is an emerging solo shoegaze artist from north Nottinghamshire, England. Blending elements of rock and grunge with a soft, eerie vocal style, she creates a haunting and mesmerising atmosphere in her music that feels truly one of a kind.
Writing songs since the age of 8, Eiina has spent years honing her craft. Her musical journey has taken her through nearly every genre, from pop and
indie to country, rap, R&B, and metal, before landing firmly in the shoegaze scene in 2025. Influenced by a wide range of artists including Billie Eilish, Yungblud and Gorillaz, her sound finds its closest kinship with rising shoegaze artist Wisp, who serves as a key inspiration behind her sonic identity.
Get the Army explode onto the scene with powerful guitars, rebellious yet infectious lyrics, and a live show that can’t really be described. Hailing from Nottingham, the energetic mad-man Dylan Jackson leads the charge, blending elements of post punk, garage rock, and indie grit into a sound that’s raw, urgent, and unmistakably theirs. Taking cues from the likes of Royal Blood, Fontaines D.C. and Jake Bugg, Get the Army craft anthems that hit hard and stay with you—wrapped in chaos, built for crowds and made to echo long after the music fades.
Don’t Worry, I Have A Plan (DWIHAP) is an alt-rock two-piece from Nottinghamshire, England, featuring drummer/vocalist Maxwell Osborne (he/him) and guitarist/vocalist Bri Leal (she/they).
Armed with a cavalcade of sonically sporadic influences and lyrics penned in an atypical fashion, the duo’s music is anything but predictable. Erratic, and at times entirely improvised, drum patterns ensure that no two shows ever play out the same.
Built for fans of alternative rock, indie and emo, DWIHAP crafts songs where every musical motion defies expectation.
With a voice that cuts through the noise and a lyrical depth far beyond her 18 years, rising singer-songwriter DRING brings a fresh vulnerability to modern folk. Drawing on influences like Marcus Mumford, Noah Kahan, and Billie Eilish, DRING’s honest songwriting feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
