FUTUREPROOF Returns as Call Opens for Session Proposals

Following its overwhelming success this year, it has been confirmed that FUTUREPROOF will return in 2027, with organisers officially opening the call for speakers, panel discussions and workshop submissions.

Delivered by Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, FUTUREPROOF has quickly established itself as one of the UK’s leading forums for sustainability, regeneration, innovation and economic growth, bringing together regional and national business leaders, policymakers, academics and industry experts to explore opportunities and challenges shaping a greener future.

The launch of the 2027 event follows the success of FUTUREPROOF 2026, hosted at Broadway Cinema, the event welcomed more than 370 delegates, featured over 70 speakers and delivered 45 sessions across four stages, covering topics including green finance, sustainable transport, clean energy, future cities, sustainable buildings and behavioural change.

Now, organisers are inviting organisations, businesses, researchers and experts from across the UK to help shape the next edition by submitting proposals for keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops and case studies.

The programme will provide a platform for delegates to share best practice, showcase pioneering projects and discuss the challenges and opportunities of the transition to a more sustainable economy.

Megan Powell Vreeswijk, CEO of Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, said:

“FUTUREPROOF has quickly established itself as an important platform for bringing together businesses, academics, policymakers and industry leaders to share ideas, challenge status quo and explore practical solutions to the regeneration and sustainability agenda. The success of our inaugural event reinforced Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s reputation as a region of innovation and ambition, while demonstrating the value of working together to drive positive change.

As we look ahead to next year’s event, we want to build on that momentum by welcoming an even broader range of voices and perspectives. We encourage organisations from across the UK to submit session proposals and help shape a programme that inspires new thinking and supports a more sustainable future for us all.”

Session proposals are now open, with organisers encouraging submissions that showcase innovative approaches, practical case studies, emerging research and solutions across regeneration ,sustainability, climate action, technology, skills, investment and inclusive growth.

Further details including event date, programme, sponsorship opportunities and delegate registration will be announced in the coming months.

Those interested in speaking at FUTUREPROOF Nottingham 2027, can submit their proposals via the event website: FUTUREPROOF NOTTINGHAM 2027.
