Nottingham is set for a major sporting boost after plans for a new international-standard padel destination were approved.
Padel House, a development being curated by Carlton-based ALB Group, will feature competition-standard courts capable of hosting major tournaments alongside a range of wellness, hospitality and business facilities.
Located on Electric Avenue, the new centre will include five indoor padel courts, an indoor show court, four covered outdoor courts and a dedicated pickleball court.

“We are absolutely delighted to have secured planning approval for Padel House.
“We believe this will be another high-quality sporting venue in the city to stand alongside Nottingham Forest Football Club’s City Ground, Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont.
“Receiving planning permission is a huge milestone and allows us to move forward with the next phase of development. We firmly believe Padel House will become a major sporting and social destination for the city, attracting players, visitors from the UK and beyond.”
Alongside the courts, Padel House will feature a Pilates studio, PT studio, physiotherapy facilities, coworking space, offices, a lounge, bar, roof terrace, events plaza and food outlets brought to life by the creative force behind Public and Arran’s Bagel.
“This centre will build a community founded on connection, conversation and energy. Yes, we want people to come and play, but also to stay to share a drink, work, network and make new connections.

Nottingham-based Leonard Design has worked alongside ALB Group to bring the project to life.

Construction is expected to begin following the completion of pre-development works, with Padel House set to become one of the UK’s most ambitious padel destinations.
