Nine Broxtowe businesses have shared some of their favourite recipes and the stories behind them as part of an international C-City project. Food is at the heart of everything so the book includes stories of food, culture and heritage across Europe and Broxtowe residents can find some of their favourite eateries included.

This cookery book is part of a major European inter-communal cultural project: C-City which is a Cultural City Community made up of Broxtowe, Chateauroux, Falun, Grudziadz and Gutersloh.
Broxtowe’s Community Committee is made up of local people that are passionate about bringing arts and culture to the residents of the Borough, and have been the masterminds behind events such as the Broxtowe Creates Festival and Friday18.
Councillor Teresa Cullen is Chair of the Committee and said, ‘In Broxtowe we have a huge arts and culture offering and our strong relationships with these European Cities is vital in post Brexit times. Food nourishes and sustains our bodies and our minds, it brings people together and we hope residents will enjoy not just recipes from the Borough, but from across the other four cities.”
