NOTTINGHAM’s iconic canalside entertainment, dining and leisure destination Binks Yard, is hosting its very own spring beer festival ‘Frülingsfest’, on Saturday 27 April, in association with Bavarian beer brand Hofmeister.
Taking place on the popular Binks Yard terrace from 4pm-10pm, under the cover of its new stretch tent, beer-lovers can enjoy the day-to-night event commonly known as Oktoberfest’s little sister.
Guests can enjoy a free schooner of beer on arrival which is included within the ticket price, before enjoying upbeat performances from a traditional Bavarian oompah band who will be on hand to add to the ambience of the day. Throughout the day there’ll also be large steins of German beer available, including Hofmeister’s authentic Bavarian lager, Helles, and its Weisse wheat beer, as well as delicious food from Binks Yard’s traditional outdoor smoker. Highlight dishes on offer include smoked German bratwurst hot dogs and currywurst loaded fries.
Arpita Anstey, Marketing Director at Binks Yard said: “For many years Oktoberfest has been a firm staple in the calendar of beer lovers over in Munich as well as here in the UK. However recent years have seen Munich’s Frülingsfest gain popularity amongst beer fans who want to recreate the fun and atmosphere of Oktoberfest in spring too. We’ve decided to bring the popular festival here to Binks Yard, where visitors will be able to experience a piece of Bavaria right here in Nottingham.
“With the weather slowly starting to warm up, our terrace area is the perfect location to enjoy a stein or two while experiencing the sounds of a traditional oompah band, along with the tasty food options available. The addition of the new Binks stretch tent also means the terrace is now perfectly equipped for guests to enjoy all our upcoming events in all weather. Come rain or shine, it’s set to be an all-day celebration to remember.”
The upcoming event marks just one of a calendar of exciting events taking place at Binks Yard this Spring and Summer. Other events include Pop-Up Party: Revenge of the Disco event featuring Nottingham’s Crazy P on 04 May, SHABLAM!, a drag extravaganza hosted by Drag Race UK star Michael Moruli on Sunday 12 May, and the live screening of England’s first UEFA Euros 2024 match vs Serbia on 16 June.
Tickets for Binks Yard’s Frülingsfest are priced at only £10 and can be purchased directly from the Binks Yard website, here.
