Christmas at Wollaton…. Countdown to the Big Reveal

Organisers of Christmas at Wollaton are counting down to opening night on Friday 26th November, for Nottingham’s only illumination trail.

Christmas at Wollaton marks the perfect start of the festive season.

For the first time last year, Nottingham’s Wollaton Hall & Deer Park was transformed into Christmas at Wollaton Hall an enchanting and unique, outdoor festive installation.

With months in the planning, this year there will be a completely new look trail, as well as offering lots more to enjoy.  The event will have a new Christmas market and heaps of opportunity for festive food and drink.

As twilight descends Wollaton Hall will again transform into an enchanting world of stunning lights with atmospheric music. The formal gardens around Wollaton Hall will become a magical wonderland to captivate visitors of all ages, with awe-inspiring illuminations and a multi-sensory experience.

The spectacular event returns with a dazzling new trail including the hugely popular tunnel of lights which will be even bigger and better.   Visitors will be able to marvel at features such as “Starry, Starry Night” a new installation set in the ancient woodland as Wollaton Hall becomes an enchanting world of stunning lights with atmospheric sounds and specially composed music.

A team of 35 people have been working on the Wollaton scheme including lighting design and installation experts, carpenters and an audio team.

The formal gardens, woodlands and Camilla House at Wollaton Hall will become a magical wonderland to captivate visitors of all ages.

Christmas at Wollaton opens on  Friday 26th November 2021 and runs until 9th January 2022.

Organisers commented “The design team has created something that will delight visitors of all ages and offers a fully immersive experience of sight and sound. This year’s event there will be even more to enjoy and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to Christmas at Wollaton 2021.”
