The full trail for this year’s Christmas at Wollaton has been revealed with a new trail route, as well as new exciting interactive elements.

The annual festive lights trail is the only one in Nottinghamshire and has become a firm favourite among Christmas lovers since its debut in 2020.

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with an innovative re-designed trail with a new path, starting from the courtyard and then weaving around the stunning formal gardens of Wollaton Hall and Deer Park.

Visitors will be treated to never-before-seen interactive attractions in 2023, including The Light Launchers, allowing visitors to launch their own laser beams into the night sky.

Wollaton Hall’s gardens including the Camellia House, the oldest cast-iron-framed glass house in Europe, will be transformed by 15 key zones, which will create a multi-sensory festive spectacle with brand new attractions as well as much-loved classics.

The event has quickly become the perfect outing over the Christmas period, with something for all ages to enjoy.

And with a number of peak slots already sold out, those wanting to get involved with the festivities are advised to get their tickets soon.

The trail will follow a new route through the formal Victorian gardens, starting at the Jingle Bauble, passing by the illuminated stags, Comet and Cupid, before finishing with the big finale in front of Wollaton Hall.

There will also be festive food and cocktails to enjoy while working your way through the trail.

The full trail order will be:

  1. Jingle Bauble
  2. Tunnel of Light
  3. Field of Flames
  4. Light Launchers
  5. Reflections
  6. Comet and Cupid
  7. Winter Wonderland
  8. Merry and Bright
  9. Step into Christmas
  10. Robin Hood’s Roses
  11. Fire Pitstop
  12. Son et Lumière
  13. Laser Garden
  14. Oh! Christmas Tree
  15. Fairground

The fresh look for 2023 is all thanks to a creative collaboration between design team Luminism and award-winning creative director Katherine Jewkes, who has designed experiences for clients including X, formerly Twitter and the BBC.

This year’s event will run from December 1 to January 1, 2024. Tickets can be purchased on the Christmas at Wollaton website with discounts on selected time slots for Nottingham city residents.

Adults can attend from *£19.25 and *£12.75 for children. Alternatively, family tickets can be purchased for £54.00 and £18.00* for an adult group ticket (groups of 15+), excluding a booking fee.
