12.35pm ‘How to do your own PR’ training session led by Mary Murtagh
The ‘How to do your own PR’ training session is led by award winning journalist Mary Murtagh, who will give you some top tips on how to promote your organisation in print and social media, as well as on radio and television. If you have a success story you want to share, you will get some ideas on how to present this information in a way that engages reporters and gets it on their news agenda.
The areas covered include:
* What makes a story and how to spot them in your daily routine
* How the media works and what to do to attract the attention of journalists
* Tips for writing press releases which always get used
* Where to go next if you need more information or training in PR
4.25pm Feedback form completion.
