One-of-a-kind and a true gem in the city’s leisure offering “Splash Art Republic” opens its doors to guests on Friday 6th December.
Splash Art Republic, Nottingham’s only splash and pour art venue, is where creativity gets gloriously messy and FUN! Inspired by the growing craze in the U.S., this vibrant studio lets you channel your inner artist using bold, splashy techniques made famous by abstract legends like Jackson Pollock and Damien Hirst.
Get ready to unleash some creative chaos! Whether it’s splattering paint on a canvas under UV light, squirting paint using baby paint canons or mounting the specially designed bikes to create whirly swirly designs, the choice is yours and best of all, no artistic skills are required! Think of it as painting meets science experiment, with bold colours and happy accidents making every piece a thrilling surprise! Perfect for anyone who loves to get messy and creative.
Prefer the idea of something a little calmer? Then try one of Splash Art Republic’s “Pour Art” sessions – it’s like magic in motion! Using a creative technique where vibrant, fluid paints are mixed and poured onto a sculpture to flow, swirl, and blend into mesmerizing patterns. Forget brushes—gravity and your imagination are the tools here creating unique, one-of-a-kind masterpieces with stunning marbled effects.
Sip and paint sessions will also be led by various professional artists focusing on different styles and with Splash Art Republic having a “bring your own policy,” you’ll be guaranteed the tipple of your choice!
Perfect for parties, family fun, or solo experiments, Splash Art Republic provides all the tools and guidance you need to make your masterpiece.
The studio expects to be a hit for group bookings, date nights, and team-building activities with lots of special events planned to include DJ nights and private hire of the whole two-floor venue available.
Bookings are made in advance via the website and upon arrival, groups are briefed and provided a variety of PPE including goggles, disposable ponchos, shoe covers and gloves before selecting their choice of canvas/sculpture and paint colours.
Expert guidance is given during the hour-long session at the stunning refurbished Grade II listed building which is a stone’s throw away from Victoria Centre Car Park on Mansfield Road.
The venue will be looking to offer alcoholic and soft drinks in the near future.
This Christmas, Splash Art Republic are offering a limited number of places for their “Rudolf” Pour Art Sessions where participants get to create their very own marbled reindeer sculpture – perfect festive fun for all the family!
