Nottingham tram launches new Family Group Ticket for summer holidays

Last week NET announced a Family Group Ticket will be launched for the school summer holidays allowing a group of eight to travel for as little as £1 each per day.

Running until Wednesday 31st August the new Family Group Ticket will mean that 2 adults and up to 6 children can travel together on the entire network all day at a discounted rate of £8.

Alison Sweeney, Tramlink Head of Marketing said:

We know families are facing a lot of pressure and different cost increases and we want to help where we can.

“The tram is not only a green way to travel, helping Nottingham achieve its goal to be carbon natural by 2028, but it is also affordable, accessible, and reliable.

“This new Family Group Ticket will allow a group of eight to travel for as little as a pound each and will mean more people can enjoy their summer and everything Nottingham has to offer.”

NET has also partnered with the Cash for Kids Big Day out and donated 25 Family Group Tickets. The campaign aims to help children who wouldn’t normally be able to have a day out during the school holidays.

Charlotte Walker, Regional Charity Manager for Cash for Kids in the Midlands said:

“We’re really supportive of what NET are doing for families this summer, the Family Group Ticket initiative is fantastic. This is a really difficult time for all families, but for those most vulnerable, the simplest essentials such as transportation are becoming more and more difficult to afford. We’re thrilled that NET have also donated 25 family group tickets to our Big Day Out campaign. This donation will mean local families will be able to take their children on a day out, when they might not otherwise have been able to do so.”
